“Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace; Comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good word and work.” – 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17
This verse is from the second letter Paul, Silas and Timothy wrote to the Thessalonians, after realizing the Thessalonians still have a need for a teacher.
Jesus Christ’s disciples understood the Thessalonians couldn’t stay strong in their faith without the help of God, and so Paul and his friends prayed to Jesus Christ and to God, asking for help on their behalf.
