“Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: And they shall be one flesh.” – Genesis 2:24
After God has created heaven and earth He created the Garden of Eden. There he put Adam, the man he created from the dust of the ground, to care for the garden, giving him freedom to do all, but eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Then, God saw that it is not good for a man to be alone so he formed all living and wild creatures, but none was a good helper for Adam. So, upon his sleep, God took one of the man’s ribs and from that made Eve, a woman for Adam; “(a) bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh” -Genesis 2:23.
