“And the child grew, and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: And the grace of God was upon him.” – Luke 2:40
Chapter 2 of Luke is one of grave importance in the New Testament, for it depicts the birth of Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior.
Traveling from their home in Nazareth in the Galilee, Joseph and a pregnant Mary came to be taxed in the City of Bethlehem. It was during their time in the City of David that their child was born. Then an angel of God came before them, declaring their son Christ the Lord.
Joseph and Mary had brought Jesus the child to Jerusalem where they were all blessed. After that they returned to the Galilee where Jesus Christ continued to grow and strengthen within the grace of God.
